Privacy Policy
Effective date: 12 September 2026. Last updated: 12 September 2026.
Monas Financial is operated by Chronic Internet LLC, a limited liability company organized in the State of Hawaii, United States ("we", "us", "our"). This policy explains what information we collect when you visit monasfinancial.com, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and the choices you have. It applies to this website and to the email newsletters we send. It does not apply to third-party websites we link to.
Information we collect
Information you give us
If you subscribe to a newsletter or contact us, we collect the email address you provide and, if you choose to include it, your name and the content of your message. We do not require an account to read the site, and we do not ask for financial account details, government identification numbers, or payment information.
Information collected automatically
When you load a page, our infrastructure and analytics providers record technical information sent by your browser. This includes your IP address, user-agent string, the page requested, the referring page, approximate location derived from your IP address at the city or country level, device and browser type, screen size, language preference, and timestamps. We use this to keep the site running, to detect automated abuse, and to understand which articles people read.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use a small number of first-party cookies and browser storage entries. Cloudflare sets cookies necessary for security and bot detection. Google Analytics 4 sets cookies used to distinguish one visitor from another and to group page views into sessions. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not sell cookie data, and we do not participate in cross-site advertising networks.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Blocking analytics cookies will not prevent you from reading the site. Most browsers also transmit a Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track signal if you enable one; we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out of sale or sharing, though as stated below we do not sell or share personal information in the first place.
How we use information
- To deliver the website and the content you request.
- To send newsletters and updates you have asked to receive.
- To measure which content is read, so we can decide what to publish next.
- To protect the site against automated scraping, credential abuse, and denial-of-service traffic.
- To respond to questions, requests, and legal obligations.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
Legal bases (for visitors in the UK, EU, and EEA)
Where the UK GDPR or EU GDPR applies, we rely on: your consent, for newsletter subscriptions and non-essential analytics cookies; our legitimate interests, for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate measurement, balanced against your rights; and legal obligation, where we must retain or disclose information to comply with law. You may withdraw consent at any time without affecting processing that already took place.
Service providers
We share information only with the vendors that operate parts of this service on our behalf, and only to the extent they need it. These are:
- Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, content delivery, DNS, security, and email routing.
- Google LLC — Google Analytics 4 for website measurement, and Google Search Console for search performance data.
- Brevo (Sendinblue SAS) and Amazon Web Services, Inc. — delivery of newsletters and transactional email.
Each of these providers processes data under its own terms and privacy policy. We do not sell personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not disclose it to data brokers.
International transfers
We operate from the United States, and our providers process data on infrastructure located in the United States and elsewhere. If you access the site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, our providers rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for these transfers.
How long we keep information
- Newsletter subscriptions: until you unsubscribe, plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we do not email you again.
- Analytics data: retained according to the retention window configured in our Google Analytics property.
- Security and abuse-prevention data: our infrastructure provider, Cloudflare, inspects connection and request metadata in real time to block malicious traffic. We do not currently operate a separate long-term log store, and we do not retain raw server-request logs beyond what our hosting provider's standard service provides at the network edge.
- Correspondence: retained as long as needed to handle the matter and to keep a record of it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate information, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of or objection to certain processing, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and other US states with comprehensive privacy laws have these rights under their state statutes; residents of the UK, EU, and EEA have them under the GDPR.
To make a request, email privacy@monasfinancial.com. We will verify your request by replying to the email address associated with it and will respond within the period required by applicable law, generally 45 days in the United States and one month under the GDPR. You may use an authorized agent where the law permits. If you are in the UK or EEA and are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint with your national supervisory authority or the UK Information Commissioner's Office.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing takes effect immediately and requires no explanation.
Children
This site is intended for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email us and we will delete it.
Security
Traffic to this site is encrypted in transit using TLS. Access to our systems is restricted and authenticated. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we do not store sensitive personal information on this site and there is no user account system to compromise.
Automated and AI-generated content
Research, commentary, and analysis published on this site are produced with substantial assistance from automated systems and large language models, and are reviewed against our editorial standards before publication. This is disclosed here because readers should know how the content they read is made. It is explained further in our Terms of Service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site changes or as the law requires. The effective date at the top reflects the current version. If we make a change that materially affects how we handle information you have already given us, we will say so on this page and, where we have your email address and the law requires it, by email.
