Zscaler, Inc. has announced the promotion of Ross Tackett to the role of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), effective October 1, 2026. Tackett, who previously served as the company’s Head of Worldwide Sales, will assume responsibility for the company’s global revenue operations, sales organization, strategic partner ecosystem, and go-to-market execution.

Tackett brings over three decades of experience in technology sales leadership. Prior to joining Zscaler, he spent more than a decade in sales leadership roles at ServiceNow and over 16 years at Dell. He has been with Zscaler for three years and is described by the company as having a proven track record of scaling multi-billion-dollar enterprise go-to-market organizations.

The appointment comes as Mike Rich steps down as CRO for personal reasons. Rich will remain with the company through December 31, 2026, serving as a strategic advisor to ensure a smooth transition. In connection with his departure, the company expects Rich to receive severance benefits in accordance with the Change of Control and Severance Policy filed as an exhibit to the company’s December 2, 2024, Form 8-K.

CEO Jay Chaudhry stated that Tackett’s deep domain expertise and international experience make him the ideal leader to guide the global sales organization as enterprises modernize their infrastructure with the Zero Trust Exchange platform.
