Coca-Cola Co. (KO) is moving forward with the review of its North America media account, and WPP has confirmed it will not participate in the competitive process. According to a report by Benzinga, WPP PLC has decided against bidding for the business.
The news indicates that the global advertising giant will not be a contender for the account, which covers marketing and media buying for the beverage company in the North American market. While WPP is stepping aside, two other major agencies are expected to pitch for the business: Omnicom and Dentsu.
The report notes that the review is ongoing, and the outcome of the competitive process will determine which agency will handle Coca-Cola's media strategy and execution in the region.
