Visa Inc. has announced a partnership with Reap, a financial technology company, to expand a credit card program that is linked to stablecoins. The collaboration aims to introduce the program to more than 100 global markets.
Under the terms of the agreement, Reap will utilize Visa's network to issue credit cards that are integrated with stablecoin technology. This allows users to make purchases using a credit line that is backed by stablecoins, which are digital assets designed to maintain a stable value.
The partnership is designed to broaden the accessibility of stablecoin-based financial products. By leveraging Visa's extensive global payment infrastructure, Reap intends to facilitate the use of these digital assets in everyday transactions across a wide range of countries.
