Vertiv Holdings Co. announced on September 24, 2026, that it has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire King Environmental Services Ltd. (KES), a provider of fluid management and commissioning services based in Europe. The acquisition is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026. Vertiv stated that the deal is intended to expand its global thermal management services capabilities into the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region.
King Environmental Services specializes in fluid management, flushing, commissioning, and operational validation for high-density, liquid-cooled data centers. The company was founded in 2002 and is headquartered near Dublin, Ireland, with key hubs in North Dublin and Frankfurt. KES offers services ranging from design review and feasibility studies to pipework flushing, filtration, water treatment, and large-scale thermal and electrical load testing.
Vertiv noted that the acquisition builds upon its existing North American fluid management presence, which includes the 2025 purchase of PurgeRite. The company stated that combining KES’s regional field expertise and load-testing capabilities with its broader services portfolio will allow it to provide more comprehensive support to customers deploying complex AI and high-density infrastructure.
Vertiv’s Chief Executive Officer, Gio Albertazzi, commented on the strategic importance of the acquisition, noting that as computing density increases, the performance of cooling infrastructure depends heavily on field execution. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed, and Vertiv indicated that the deal is not expected to be material to its financial results.
