UniFirst Corporation has filed a Current Report on Form 8-K announcing the resignation of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Kelly Rooney. The filing states that Ms. Rooney notified the Company of her decision to resign in order to pursue other career opportunities.
According to the report, Ms. Rooney’s final day of employment with UniFirst is September 11, 2026. The Company entered into a Separation Agreement and General Release with Ms. Rooney on that date. The agreement includes a general release of claims and a mutual agreement to cooperate regarding matters related to her employment.
UniFirst disclosed that because Ms. Rooney voluntarily resigned from her position, she is not entitled to any severance-related payments or benefits. The filing includes the Separation Agreement as Exhibit 10.1 to the report.
