Triumph Financial, Inc. announced its financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026, reporting net income of $12.6 million, or $0.52 per diluted share. The company noted that earnings for the quarter were affected by non-recurring items that reduced earnings per share by $0.02.
Key operational metrics for the third quarter included a 37.8% year-over-year increase in Transportation revenue. The company reported that roughly one-third of this growth was organic, while the remainder was driven by market tailwinds. The Factoring operating margin was reported at 43.0%, exceeding the company's long-term target of 40%. During the quarter, the company added 706 net new customers.
Regarding the company's segments, Payments EBITDA margin (excluding LoadPay) was 39.0%, while Intelligence Gross Margin was 84.4%. The company stated that Intelligence revenue growth has not met expectations due to difficult market conditions for smaller brokers and challenges with product adoption. However, the company noted it added 63 broker clients since the end of 2025, resulting in a net increase of ten clients.
Triumph Financial also addressed credit expenses, which increased in the quarter due to specific commercial real estate exposures in its Banking segment and provisioning related to growth in its transportation businesses. The company stated that Transportation credit performance remains favorable on a risk-adjusted basis.
Looking ahead, the company announced changes to its North Star Metrics for 2027. It plans to remove Intelligence gross margin as a metric and add a target for total non-interest expenses to be less than $400 million for the year. The company noted that achieving this expense target would require realizing at least $20 million in efficiencies from its current run rate.
