TriplePoint Venture Growth BDC Corp. (TPVG) has announced a management transition effective December 31, 2026. Sajal K. Srivastava, a Co-Founder and Co-CEO of TriplePoint Capital, notified the company of his intention to resign from his positions as a member of the Board of Directors, President, and Chief Investment Officer of TPVG. Mr. Srivastava will continue to serve in these roles during a transition period ending on December 31, 2026. The filing states that his resignation is not the result of any disagreement with the Company regarding operations or policies.
Simultaneously, the Board of Directors has approved a reduction in its size from eight members to seven members, also effective December 31, 2026. Ian Schworer has been appointed to serve as the Chief Investment Officer of TPVG, effective as of the close of business on December 31, 2026. Mr. Schworer, age 45, will also assume the Chief Investment Officer role for TriplePoint Private Venture Credit Inc. and TriplePoint Capital LLC. He has worked at TriplePoint Capital since 2014, most recently serving as Chief Credit Officer, U.S., and is a member of the firm’s Credit Committee.
The filing notes that Mr. Schworer is an employee of TriplePoint Capital, the direct sole owner of TPVG’s investment adviser. He brings over 20 years of experience in venture capital, investment banking, management consulting, and computer and systems engineering. Prior to joining TriplePoint, Mr. Schworer worked at Barclays Capital’s Technology, Media and Telecommunication group, Booz Allen Hamilton, Lockheed Martin, and Intel. He holds an M.B.A. from U.C. Berkeley – Haas School of Business and degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering from Virginia Tech.
In a related press release, Jim Labe, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of TriplePoint Capital, will assume the role of sole CEO of TriplePoint Capital at year’s end. Mr. Srivastava will continue to serve as a Director on the Boards of TPVG and TPVC until the close of business on December 31, 2026.
