The Toro Company (NYSE: TTC) announced on September 21, 2026, that it has increased the size of its Board of Directors from ten to eleven members and elected David W. Huml to fill the new seat. Mr. Huml is currently the president and chief executive officer of Tennant Company (NYSE: TNC) and has been elected to serve on the Audit Committee and Finance Committee of The Toro Company’s Board.
Mr. Huml’s term on the Board will run until the 2027 annual meeting of stockholders. In his capacity as a non-employee director, he will receive compensation according to the plans and policies applicable to non-employee members of the Board, as detailed in The Toro Company’s definitive proxy statement for its most recent annual meeting held on March 17, 2026.
Torco’s Chairman and CEO Richard Olson stated that Mr. Huml’s background in global marketing, operations, and product management, along with his expertise in robotics and smart-connected technologies, will provide valuable perspective to the Board.
Mr. Huml has spent 12 years at Tennant Company, where he has served as chief operating officer, senior vice president for the APAC and EMEA businesses, and senior vice president of global marketing. Prior to Tennant, he held executive leadership positions at Pentair plc, a manufacturer of water and fluid solutions. Mr. Huml holds a Bachelor of Arts in business management and marketing from Wittenberg University and an MBA from the University of Minnesota – Carlson School of Management.
