Billionaire investor Dan Loeb’s Third Point LLC increased its position in ASML Holding (NASDAQ: ASML) during the second quarter of 2026. The firm more than doubled its stake in the company, raising it from 12,000 shares in the first quarter to 30,000 shares as of June 30.

Conversely, Third Point exited its entire stake in several semiconductor peers during the same period. The investor sold all positions in NVIDIA Corporation (NASDAQ: NVDA), Broadcom Inc. (NASDAQ: AVGO), KLA Corporation (NASDAQ: KLAC), and Lam Research Corporation (NASDAQ: LRCX).

Separately, ASML reported second-quarter earnings of $8.82 per share, exceeding the Wall Street consensus estimate of $7.98. Revenue for the quarter reached $10.84 billion, surpassing analyst expectations of $10.28 billion.

For the third quarter, ASML forecasts revenue between 11 billion euros and 12 billion euros, with a gross margin of 55% to 57%. The company raised its full-year 2026 outlook, now expecting net sales of between 43 billion euros and 45 billion euros, up from previous guidance.

ASML also announced progress with Intel Corporation (NASDAQ: INTC) Foundry regarding High Numerical Aperture Extreme Ultraviolet (High NA EUV) lithography. Additionally, Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. expanded its strategic partnership with ASML to advance High NA EUV technology.

On the stock market, ASML shares fell 6.07% to $1,595.26 at the time of publication. The stock is currently trading at a price-to-earnings ratio of 57.5x.
