Dan Loeb’s Third Point increased its investment in Live Nation Entertainment (NYSE: LYV) during the second quarter of 2026. The firm raised its holdings in the company by 144%, increasing its stake to approximately 1.14 million shares. This represents a significant increase from the 465,000 shares held in the first quarter of 2026.
Third Point also made Warner Bros. Discovery (NASDAQ: WBD) its largest holding in the same period, purchasing 20 million shares valued at about $533 million as of June 30.
Live Nation reported its own second-quarter results, exceeding analyst estimates. The company reported earnings per share of $1.05, compared to the $0.62 expected by analysts. Revenue for the quarter was $7.666 billion, which surpassed the consensus estimate of $7.550 billion.
Concert revenue grew by 8% during the period, while adjusted operating income (AOI) for the Ticketmaster segment rose by 14%. The company sold 90 million fee-bearing tickets, an increase of 8%. International markets drove growth, with attendance rising 10% and adding about five million fans to a global total of 49 million.
Live Nation disclosed an expansion of its partnership with Salesforce (NYSE: CRM) to utilize Agentforce for round-the-clock fan support at venues across the United States.
Following the earnings release, several analysts raised their price targets for the stock. Citigroup raised its target to $212.00, Bernstein raised its target to $215.00, and Oppenheimer raised its target to $210.00. The stock carries an average analyst price forecast of $209.54.
