Tempus AI Inc. (NASDAQ: TEM) announced on Wednesday an expansion of its multi-year collaboration with Moderna Inc. (NASDAQ: MRNA) and Merck & Co. Inc. (NYSE: MRK) regarding the development of intismeran autogene (V940/mRNA-4157).
The collaboration focuses on the individualized neoantigen therapy (INT) combined with Keytruda (pembrolizumab) for completely resected stage IIB-IV melanoma and other cancer types. The expanded agreement aims to support preparations for the potential commercialization of intismeran autogene, which is jointly developed by Moderna and Merck.
Under the terms of the agreement, Tempus AI will manage the collection and transfer of tumor tissue and blood samples required for next-generation sequencing (NGS). The company will also provide NGS services to assist in the design and manufacturing process of the therapy, subject to applicable regulatory approvals.
The financial terms of the collaboration were not disclosed. Tempus AI shares were reported to be down 1.94% to $70.58 at the time of publication.
