Standard Motor Products, Inc. (NYSE: SMP) announced on October 9, 2026, that Nathan R. Iles intends to resign as Chief Financial Officer, effective October 30, 2026. Mr. Iles is leaving to accept a chief financial officer position at another public company and relocate closer to his family. The resignation is voluntary and is not the result of any disagreement with the Company regarding its operations, financial reporting, policies, or practices.

To maintain operational continuity, the Board of Directors has appointed James J. Burke as Interim Chief Financial Officer, effective October 30, 2026. Mr. Burke will continue to serve as a member of the Board of Directors. Mr. Burke previously served as the Company’s Chief Financial Officer from 1999 to 2019 and as Chief Operating Officer from 2019 to June 2026. He will receive an annual base salary and a pro-rata annual cash incentive award for 2026, as detailed in the Company’s most recent proxy statement filed on April 30, 2026. No additional equity incentive awards will be granted in connection with this appointment.

Standard Motor Products has initiated an executive search process to identify a permanent successor. The Company is scheduled to report its earnings for the three and nine months ended September 30, 2026, before the market opens on October 30, 2026.
