SS Innovations International, Inc. (NASDAQ: SSII) reported significant milestones in the deployment and utilization of its SSi Mantra surgical robotic system on September 10, 2026. The company highlighted progress in global expansion, pediatric surgery, and telesurgery capabilities.

In terms of global reach, the company announced that its robotic cardiac surgery program was officially launched in Colombia on July 29, 2026, at La Fundación Cardiovascular de Colombia. Simultaneously, Kings Hospital Colombo installed the first SSi Mantra system in Sri Lanka on August 23, 2026. Following this installation, the system was used to perform the country's first robotic-assisted cardiac surgery and over 25 other procedures within the first three weeks.

SS Innovations also noted advancements in pediatric surgery. On August 14, 2026, Dr. M. Ramalingam performed a robotic pyeloplasty on a 45-day-old infant at Hindusthan Hospital in Coimbatore, India, utilizing the SSi Mantra and 5-millimeter instrumentation. As of August 31, 2026, the company stated that a total of 258 pediatric robotic surgeries had been completed with the SSi Mantra.

The company reported a record for the longest-distance telesurgery on July 29, 2026, when a team led by Dr. Sudhir Srivastava performed a robotic sleeve gastrectomy between Colombia and India, spanning 13,600 miles. The SSi Mantra has also been utilized to perform the first telesurgery in the Philippines between Pampanga and Cotabato on September 5, 2026. As of August 31, 2026, the company stated that a total of 188 robotic telesurgeries had been completed.

Regarding utilization metrics, SS Innovations reported that on August 15, 2026, a team at Mohak Bariatrics and Robotics utilized five SSi Mantra systems to complete 50 robotic general surgery procedures in a single day. As of September 8, 2026, the cumulative installed base of the SSi Mantra totaled 238 systems, representing a 42% increase from the end of 2025. During the same period, the number of multi-specialty procedures completed with the system totaled 14,103, up 79% from the end of 2025.

The company stated that approximately 1,500 physicians have been trained on the SSi Mantra, which has been utilized to perform over 170 different types of surgical procedures. Looking ahead, SS Innovations expects that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration will complete its review of the Company’s 510(k) premarket notification for the SSi Mantra by the end of the first quarter of 2027 and believes that a European Union CE marking certification can be obtained by the end of 2026.
