Soluna Holdings, Inc. announced on September 14, 2026, that the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has conditionally classified its 100 MW Project Dorothy campus as Base Load in Batch Zero. This classification follows a similar conditional designation for the full 166 MW at Project Kati, which Soluna secured last week. The classification is pending the completion of ERCOT's ongoing verification process, during which the project could be removed if the applicant fails to respond to information requests.
Located in Briscoe County, Texas, Project Dorothy is a wind-powered campus situated behind the meter at the 150 MW Briscoe Wind Farm, which Soluna acquired in April 2026. The campus currently consists of Dorothy 1 and Dorothy 2, which account for 98 MW of energized capacity. The company has formally submitted a request to the transmission and distribution service provider for an additional 50 MW at the site, which falls below the Batch Zero threshold. The provider has confirmed that it is studying this request directly.
CEO John Belizaire stated that the company placed the load at the generation site rather than waiting in an interconnection queue, a strategy that has allowed for the growth of the facilities. Soluna’s total operating capacity is approximately 206 MW, and the company continues to advance a development pipeline of approximately 6.3 GW. The company designs, develops, and operates digital infrastructure that transforms surplus renewable energy into computing resources for applications including Bitcoin mining and artificial intelligence.
