Solana (SOL) is flashing warning signs of a near-term correction as on-chain data reveals a significant build-up of supply on centralized exchanges. According to data from the exchange-reserve-flow pool, there was a net inflow of 250,985 SOL (+0.91%) into exchange wallets across major platforms including Binance, OKX, and Bybit. The flow was heavily concentrated at Binance, which saw an inflow of 173,545 SOL (+0.86%), a move that often signals institutional accumulation or large-holder preparation for distribution.

This accumulation of sell-side pressure is further amplified by the token's issuance dynamics within the Solana ecosystem. A graph analysis of SOL shows that the token is issued by entities such as Solana and Solana Farm, which are graph-linked to the broader DeFi infrastructure. This linkage suggests that the current exchange inflow could be driven by unstaking from protocols like Jupiter Staked SOL, effectively draining liquidity from the Solana DeFi ecosystem while simultaneously adding to the sell pressure on exchanges.

The market is already beginning to price in this weakness. SOL is currently down 0.70% over the last 24 hours with a trading volume of $20.6 million. The divergence between the rising exchange reserves and the current price action indicates that the selling pressure has not yet fully manifested in the market, implying further downside ahead as the supply on exchanges continues to grow.

What would change this read

Solana’s outlook would shift to neutral or bullish if exchange balances reversed to net outflows within 24 hours, or if a significant increase in staking inflows successfully offset the current CEX deposits, or if the price rallied decisively above its prior 7-day high.
