Snap Inc. is positioning its $2,195 SPECS glasses as a new computing device rather than a standard pair of smart glasses. The company announced partnerships with Nvidia, Salesforce, and Amazon Web Services on Wednesday to integrate these devices into enterprise environments.
The collaboration with Nvidia involves bringing agents built on Nvidia’s XR AI stack to the glasses. This technology is designed to allow the devices to interpret a worker’s surroundings and provide real-time guidance. Nvidia’s framework combines live camera and microphone inputs with AI models and agent orchestration across cloud, data center, workstation, and edge environments.
Partnership details include Salesforce’s Agentforce, which can help workers identify objects and retrieve information through the glasses. Amazon Web Services is connecting its AI assistant to tasks such as checking inventory. Additionally, Trifork and Hololight are developing applications for remote technical support and spatial workstations.
Snap priced the SPECS glasses at $2,195, with shipping expected later this fall in the U.S., U.K., and France. The company is also introducing SPECS Intelligence, an anticipatory AI service designed to understand users’ goals and routines across iPhone, Mac, and the glasses. Snap CEO Evan Spiegel has described the device as a computer that puts computing into the world rather than requiring users to look down at a screen.
