RPM International Inc. reported record financial results for its fiscal 2027 first quarter ended August 31, 2026. The company announced consolidated net sales of $2.22 billion, representing a 4.8% increase compared to the prior year. Net income attributable to RPM stockholders was $256.4 million, with diluted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.01.

Adjusted diluted EPS was reported at $1.98, an increase of 5.3% year-over-year, while adjusted EBITDA reached a record $405.5 million, a 4.5% increase. The company attributes the sales growth to solid organic growth in the Performance Coatings Group (PCG) and Consumer Group, as well as acquisitions. Pricing actions were implemented to offset inflation, and all emerging market regions generated revenue increases exceeding 20%.

Segment performance varied during the quarter. The Performance Coatings Group achieved record sales of $629.7 million, up 10.2%, driven by strong demand for engineered solutions. The Consumer Group saw record sales of $726.7 million, up 5.3%, supported by new product introductions and shelf space wins. Conversely, the Construction Products Group experienced lower than expected sales of $859.2 million, a 0.8% increase, due to a slowdown in the healthcare and education markets and raw material availability issues.

RPM provided guidance for the remainder of fiscal 2027. For the second quarter, the company projects consolidated sales and adjusted EBITDA to increase in the low- to mid-single-digit range. For the full year, the company anticipates consolidated sales and adjusted EBITDA to grow in the mid-single-digit range. The company returned $90.5 million to stockholders through dividends and share repurchases during the quarter and reduced total debt to $2.41 billion.
