RB Global, Inc. (NYSE: RBA) announced on September 15, 2026, that its board of directors has authorized a $500 million increase to its existing share repurchase program. The company stated that the Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX) has approved an amendment to its normal course issuer bid (NCIB) to allow for the repurchase of up to $1 billion in common shares, subject to specific volume limitations.
Under the amended NCIB, the maximum number of shares the Company may repurchase is the lesser of 14,224,129 shares, representing approximately 10% of the total public float as of March 6, 2026, or shares with an aggregate value of $1 billion. The original program, launched on March 18, 2026, permitted the repurchase of up to $500 million or 10,000,000 shares. The amended program is expected to become effective on September 17, 2026, and will terminate on March 17, 2027, unless earlier completed.
As of September 11, 2026, the Company had repurchased 5,363,497 shares under the original program at an average price of approximately $93.22 per share. The repurchased shares will be cancelled. Purchases may be made through an automatic repurchase plan, allowing the broker to buy shares during blackout periods, and will be executed through the TSX, the New York Stock Exchange, or alternative trading systems.
