RB Global, Inc. (NYSE: RBA) announced a series of executive leadership changes effective October 8, 2026. The company promoted Steve Steinberg to the position of Chief Financial Officer, effective October 7, 2026. In this role, Steinberg will succeed Eric Guerin, who departed the company on October 6, 2026. Steinberg previously served as Senior Vice President and Head of Strategic Planning and Decision Support at RB Global.
Steinberg has over 30 years of experience in finance and business operations, having previously held leadership roles at Follett Learning, Oracle/Sun Microsystems, Verizon/MCI Communications, and Ameritech/AT&T Wireless. He joined RB Global in 2016 and has served in various capacities, including Business Unit CFO and Vice President of Global FP&A.
Steinberg’s employment agreement includes an annual base salary of $625,000. He is eligible for a short-term incentive bonus with a target equal to 100% of his base salary and a long-term incentive grant equal to 400% of his base salary. The agreement also outlines severance terms and change of control provisions.
In addition to Steinberg’s appointment, the company announced the promotion of Shiv Dutt to Chief Digital and Strategy Officer. Dutt will lead enterprise technology and digital strategies and M&A strategy. Jake Lawson was promoted to President of Heavy Equipment & Transportation North America, and Sam Wyant was promoted to President of Auto North America and International.
Separately, Steve Lewis, the Chief Operating Officer, is expected to depart on October 9, 2026. The company stated that Lewis will receive severance and customary benefits under his employment agreement.
Regarding financial outlook, RB Global expects its full year 2026 financial results to be at the high end of the previously provided range. The company projects Gross Transaction Value (GTV) growth of 9-11% and Adjusted EBITDA between $1,495 million and $1,545 million for fiscal 2026.
