Adient plc (NYSE: ADNT) announced the appointment of Peter H. Carlin as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The appointment is effective November 16, 2026, and will take place concurrently with the departure of current CFO Mark A. Oswald.

Mr. Carlin, age 54, will join the company initially as Vice President, Finance on October 1, 2026. On that date, he will also resign from Adient’s board of directors, which will be reduced to seven members as a result. Mr. Carlin has served as a member of Adient’s board of directors since 2018.

According to the filing, Mr. Carlin’s annual base salary will be $820,000. His target bonus award for fiscal year 2027 under the company’s Annual Incentive Plan is set at 100% of his base salary. Additionally, his target equity award for fiscal year 2027 under the Long-Term Incentive Plan is valued at $4,250,000.

Mr. Carlin’s previous experience includes serving as Senior Technical Advisor at GameStop Corp. from 2023 to 2026, and as a Senior Analyst at Saddle Point Management, L.P. from 2022 to 2023. Earlier in his career, he was a Managing Director at Blue Harbour Group, L.P. and began his tenure at Morgan Stanley in the Mergers & Acquisitions Group.

The company stated that Mr. Carlin and Adient will enter into a Key Executive Severance and Change of Control Agreement. The filing also confirms there are no arrangements or understandings regarding his selection, nor are there any family relationships or material interests in other transactions that require disclosure.
