OMNIQ Corp. announced on September 29, 2026, that it has secured two agreements with Pennsylvania municipalities to deploy its Q Shield Safe City platform for vehicle registration enforcement. The company reports these are its first deployments in the state of Pennsylvania.

The agreements involve a borough in the northeast and a township in the southeast. The initial deployments will include a combined total of 18 cameras installed at nine intersections along corridors. PennDOT traffic data indicates these corridors carry approximately 80,000 vehicles per day. The projects are expected to go live in 2026.

Under the terms of the two-year agreements, OMNIQ will receive a processing fee associated with citations issued following agency review and authorization. The company notes that both agreements include a six-month evaluation period. Each municipality retains control over enforcement decisions according to its own policies and applicable law.

The Q Shield platform is designed to identify vehicles with suspended, revoked, or expired registrations. At one of the two sites, the system also identifies vehicles without required insurance coverage. Authorized officers review the information and make the final enforcement decision. The platform allows officers to review activity remotely, extending coverage along busy roads without remaining stationed at a camera.

OMNIQ stated that it is currently in discussions with additional Pennsylvania municipalities regarding potential deployments.
