The Board of Trustees of the NXG Cushing Midstream Energy Fund (NYSE: SRV) has approved changes to the Fund's name and non-fundamental investment policies, according to a Form 8-K filed with the SEC on October 16, 2026.
Effective December 18, 2026, the Fund will be renamed The NXG Cushing Energy Infrastructure Fund. The ticker symbol SRV and the CUSIP (231631300) will remain unchanged.
The primary change involves the Fund's investment strategy. Previously, the Fund was required to invest at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in midstream energy investments. As of December 18, 2026, this requirement will be replaced by a policy to invest at least 80% of net assets in a portfolio of energy infrastructure investments.
The Fund defines energy infrastructure investments as those offering economic exposure to companies that own, develop, construct, operate, or lease energy infrastructure assets. This includes midstream and fuel infrastructure, power and utility infrastructure, distributed power generation, and related equipment and logistics services.
As of October 15, 2026, 90% of the Fund's net assets consist of energy infrastructure investments. Consequently, the Fund does not anticipate that any rebalancing of its portfolio will be required to meet the new policy.
The Fund will continue to invest no more than 25% of its total assets in energy master limited partnerships and will remain non-diversified. The investment adviser, Cushing Asset Management, LP (doing business as NXG Investment Management), will remain unchanged.
