NIKE, Inc. announced on September 15, 2026, that Alexandre Arnault has been appointed to the company’s Board of Directors, effective immediately. The appointment increases the size of the Board to twelve directors. Arnault’s term is set to expire at the company’s 2027 annual meeting of shareholders.
Arnault currently serves as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Moët Hennessy, the wines and spirits division of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton SE. He has held this position since February 2025 and has been a member of the LVMH board of directors since April 2024. Prior to his role at Moët Hennessy, Arnault served as Executive Vice President of Products and Communications at Tiffany & Co. from January 2021 to February 2025. He also previously served as Chief Executive Officer of RIMOWA from October 2016 to December 2020.
Regarding compensation, Arnault will participate in NIKE’s standard director compensation program. As part of this program, he was granted a sign-on award of restricted shares of the Company’s Class B Common Stock valued at $200,000 on September 15, 2026. These shares are subject to forfeiture if his service as a director terminates prior to the first anniversary of the grant. The company stated that committee assignments for Mr. Arnault have not yet been determined.
NIKE’s Executive Chairman, Mark Parker, and President & CEO, Elliott Hill, highlighted Arnault’s experience with global brands. Parker noted that Arnault has a reputation for helping iconic global brands evolve and innovate. Hill emphasized Arnault’s experience in innovation, digital transformation, and brand building as an asset to the company.
