NextTrip, Inc. (NASDAQ: NTRP) reported initial viewing metrics and advertising monetization progress for its consolidated entertainment and travel-inspiration platform, JOURNY TV, in a Form 8-K filed on October 8, 2026.
From January through August 2026, JOURNY TV generated more than 307 million total viewing minutes, averaging approximately 38 million minutes per month. The platform reported on-screen viewing time exceeding 30 minutes. The viewing audience was geographically distributed, with Latin America accounting for 43% of consumption (133.0 million minutes), North America for 29% (88.2 million minutes), Asia-Pacific for 12% (37.1 million minutes), Europe for 11% (32.7 million minutes), and other markets for 5% (15.0 million minutes).
The Company noted that JOURNY programming is distributed across more than a dozen major platforms in approximately 100 countries, with an estimated potential global reach exceeding 250 million viewers. Recent expansions include the platform's YouTube presence and international distribution on LG Channels and JOURNY Español across Spanish-language markets; however, the January–August results do not reflect the contribution from YouTube.
In terms of advertising performance, NextTrip reported significant gains following the July 2026 transition to a new advertising operations partner. For Samsung U.S. programmatic advertising, average monthly revenue increased approximately 668% compared with the January–June 2026 monthly average, and average cost per thousand advertising impressions (CPM) increased nearly sixfold. The Company projects calendar-year 2026 Samsung U.S. programmatic advertising revenue to nearly double compared with calendar-year 2025.
A modeled audience profile for August 2026 indicates that approximately 56% of viewers are age 45 or older, and approximately 36% are in households earning $200,000 or more. Additionally, the audience is approximately 54% female and 46% male, with approximately 68% being homeowners and 38% being college-educated.
Separately, NextTrip stated that its direct sales organization has built a pipeline of more than $5 million in potential new media advertising, sponsorship, and strategic partnership opportunities across its media and travel ecosystem. These opportunities are currently under discussion and are not contracted commitments or guaranteed revenue.
