NextPlat Corp has announced the completion of a strategic acquisition of an independent pharmacy located in the Pensacola area of northwest Florida. The transaction, finalized on October 6, 2026, involved the purchase of the pharmacy and its inventory for a total cash consideration of $1,485,439.
The acquired pharmacy generated approximately $5.6 million in sales for the year ended December 31, 2025. According to the filing, the business was profitable and maintained positive working capital, operating with a debt-free balance sheet. NextPlat intends to integrate the pharmacy into its PharmcoRx healthcare segment, aiming to enhance its profitability by introducing higher-margin contracted services to the region.
David Phipps, CEO of NextPlat, stated that the acquisition expands the company’s pharmacy footprint in Florida and provides access to the greater panhandle region. He noted that the company plans to rapidly introduce its full array of high-value service offerings, including medication fulfillment, claims management, and compliance reporting for 340B providers, long-term care, and senior living communities.
NextPlat’s PharmcoRx unit currently operates five pharmacies across Florida, offering services such as full-service prescription fulfillment, medication management, and same-day delivery. The company indicated it is actively exploring additional opportunities to acquire well-established, profitable community operators to further diversify its business.
