Newell Brands Inc. (NASDAQ: NWL) announced the appointment of Guillermo H. Beade as Chief Operating Officer, effective October 26, 2026. Mr. Beade will report to Chris Peterson, the company’s President and Chief Executive Officer, and will join the Executive Committee.
In his new role, Mr. Beade will assume enterprise accountability for the company's sales, central marketing, and supply chain functions globally. The company stated his focus will be on building connectivity across these functions and developing the global structure, systems, technology, processes, and talent required for efficient operations.
Mr. Beade, age 56, joins Newell Brands from S.C. Johnson and Son, Inc., where he most recently served as President of Consumer Brands North America from January 2024 until June 2026. Prior to that, he was Chief Executive Officer of SC Johnson Lifestyle Brands from January 2021 to January 2024. His previous experience includes serving as Senior Vice President and Regional President for Latin America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Russia, and CIS from 2015 to 2021. He also held senior commercial and general management roles at PepsiCo and began his career at Unilever.
The company disclosed the following compensation details for Mr. Beade:
- Annual base salary: $830,000
- Management Bonus Plan: Eligible with a target bonus of 105% of base salary, ranging from 0% to 200% based on performance
- Long-Term Incentive Plan (LTIP): Eligible beginning in 2027 with a target value of 325% of annual base salary. An initial grant on or after the Effective Date is valued at $1,400,000.
Additionally, Mr. Beade will receive an annual perquisite allowance of $21,638 under the Flexible Perquisites Program and will be eligible for the Executive Severance Plan and other standard benefit programs.
