Nevada Canyon Gold Corp. (OTCQX: NGLD) has reported drill results from the 2026 reverse circulation program at the Lapon Canyon Gold Project in Nevada. The results, sourced from the project owner Walker River Resources Corp., highlight significant gold intercepts within the monzonite host rock.
The Company announced that hole LC-26-175 intersected 2.07 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 47.3 meters, including a higher-grade interval of 3.07 g/t over 30.48 meters. Additional highlights include hole LC-26-179, which returned 2.02 g/t over 48.77 meters, including 6.61 g/t over 7.62 meters, and a separate interval of 0.55 g/t over 27.43 meters. Hole LC-26-183 returned 3.63 g/t over 12.19 meters.
These results are described as extending the understanding of gold mineralization at Lapon Canyon, which is located approximately 40 miles southeast of Yerington, Nevada. The Company noted that the mineral resource estimate for the project is now expected in the first half of 2027 due to assay lab delays.
Nevada Canyon holds a 3% Net Smelter Royalty on the project and is earning a 50% interest through a $5 million Exploration Earn-in Agreement. The Company is fully funding the 2026 exploration activities as it continues to earn its interest over the three-year agreement.
