NeoGenomics, Inc. has announced a planned executive and board succession effective January 4, 2027. Warren Stone, the company's current President and Chief Operating Officer, will succeed Tony Zook as Chief Executive Officer and join the Board of Directors. Mr. Stone, 54, joined the company in November 2022 and has served as President & Chief Operating Officer since April 2025. Mr. Zook will transition to the role of Executive Chairman.
In conjunction with the executive changes, Lynn Tetrault, the current Chair of the Board, will step down as Chair effective January 4, 2027. Ms. Tetrault will continue to serve as an independent director until the 2027 Annual Meeting of Stockholders, at which point she does not intend to stand for reelection. Additionally, Michael Kelly, an independent Board member since 2020, has been appointed as Lead Independent Director effective January 4, 2027.
The company also disclosed an amendment to its Amended and Restated Bylaws, approved by the Board on September 30, 2026. The amendment increases the maximum size of the Board from ten to eleven directors.
Separately, NeoGenomics provided preliminary unaudited financial results for the quarter ended September 30, 2026. The company expects total revenue of approximately $209 million for the third quarter, which includes year-over-year growth in next-generation sequencing (NGS) revenue of approximately 28%. The company indicated that full-year total revenue guidance is expected to increase at the midpoint as a result of the third quarter performance.
