Micron Technology (NASDAQ: MU) shares declined 0.10% during premarket trading on Tuesday, continuing a downward trend that saw the stock fall 5.25% on Monday. The recent pullback follows a broader technology sector decline driven by concerns regarding artificial intelligence spending. U.S. stock futures also weakened, with the Nasdaq falling 0.68% and the S&P 500 dropping 0.58%.

Despite the short-term pressure, a portfolio manager from Pella Funds expressed a positive long-term outlook for memory companies. Jordan Cvetanovski, the CIO of Pella Funds, told CNBC that memory stocks are expected to perform well for the next one to two years, citing unusually high margins and industry returns as key drivers. However, Cvetanovski noted that strong profitability could eventually attract increased investment and production capacity, which might pressure prices and margins in the future.
