Meta Platforms, Inc. (NASDAQ: META) chief AI officer Alexandr Wang highlighted a practical application of the company’s personal AI agent, Muse, after it independently reported tangled utility wires to Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE: VZ) on behalf of a user.

The incident began when a user shared a photograph of tangled wires hanging from a utility pole with Muse. Rather than simply identifying the problem or suggesting ways to report it, the AI agent navigated Verizon’s website, entered the necessary verification details, and submitted a cleanup request. The AI agent successfully filed a service ticket under reference number NJC603CC0E and arranged for Verizon to contact the user within 24 to 72 hours to coordinate a dispatch.

Wang shared the interaction on X, praising the application of the AI agent as an example of how the technology can deliver tangible benefits in everyday life. He wrote, "Seriously awesome use case for muse — clean up the neighborhood!"

Meta describes Muse as a personal AI agent built to navigate a user’s digital life, including shopping, accessing connected apps, and carrying out tasks on their behalf. The stock closed at $715.62 on Monday, down 4.79%, and gained 0.35% to $718.10 in after-hours trading.
