On September 9, 2026, Matador Resources Company announced a leadership transition in which Van H. Singleton, II retired from his role as Co-President – Land, Acquisitions and Divestitures and Planning. Mr. Singleton will transition to a position as Special Advisor to the Company’s Board of Directors and Executive Committee.

Bryan A. Erman, who has served as Co-President, Chief Legal Officer and Head of M&A since June 2025, has assumed Mr. Singleton’s responsibilities as Co-President of the Company. Additionally, Jonathan J. Filbert, Executive Vice President – Land since October 2023, will take over Mr. Singleton’s duties regarding land and acquisition and divestiture efforts.

In connection with his new role, Mr. Singleton entered into an Advisor Agreement with a subsidiary of the Company. The agreement outlines services related to business development, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategy. Mr. Singleton will report to the Chairman of the Board or the Chief Executive Officer.

The Advisor Agreement stipulates an annual fee of $450,000, payable on a monthly basis. The term of the agreement will continue until terminated by either party. The agreement also confirms the continued vesting of Mr. Singleton’s outstanding equity awards under the Company’s long-term incentive plans and includes confidentiality, non-competition, and non-solicitation covenants.
