Lear Corporation announced a leadership transition within its finance department on October 13, 2026. The company disclosed that Jason Cardew, the current Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, has notified Lear of his resignation effective February 28, 2027. Following his resignation, Cardew will remain with the company in a non-executive consulting and advisory role until his retirement on December 31, 2027.
Jared Fedele has been appointed to succeed Cardew as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective March 1, 2027. Fedele, age 45, is a 23-year veteran of Lear. He currently serves as Vice President of Finance for the company's Global Seating and E-Systems businesses. Prior to his current role, Fedele served as Vice President of Finance responsible for worldwide financial planning and analysis from 2023 to 2025 and as CFO for the Asia Pacific region from 2018 to 2023.
In connection with the appointment, Lear entered into an Employment Agreement with Fedele. Under the terms of the agreement, Fedele will receive an initial annual base salary of $750,000. He is eligible to participate in the company's Annual Incentive Plan and the 2019 Long-Term Stock Incentive Plan. The agreement outlines severance terms in the event of termination by the company or Fedele for specific reasons, including two times his annual base salary and target bonus, along with 24 months of health coverage.
Lear also entered into an Amended and Restated Employment Agreement with Cardew. Under this agreement, Cardew will receive a base salary of $22,000 per month for his consulting services through December 31, 2027. The agreement stipulates that Cardew will not be entitled to cash severance benefits if his employment terminates during this term.
