KBR, Inc. announced on October 1, 2026, the appointment of Rami Qasem to its Board of Directors, effective the same day. Mr. Qasem, age 59, is a global energy and technology executive with nearly 30 years of international leadership experience. His career spans roles at Baker Hughes, General Electric, and BeyondAI, as well as service as Chief Executive Officer of APEX Industrial Services and Managing Director of Energy Capital Group.
According to the filing, Mr. Qasem previously served as Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer of Digital Solutions at Baker Hughes from 2017 to 2023. Before that, he spent 21 years at General Electric, rising to President and Chief Executive Officer for the MENA & Turkey region from 2002 to 2017. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Texas A&M University.
The Board has determined that Mr. Qasem is an independent director under KBR’s Corporate Governance Guidelines and the rules of the New York Stock Exchange. As a non-employee director, he is entitled to the standard compensation arrangements described in KBR’s 2026 Proxy Statement. The filing notes that there are no related party transactions between KBR and Mr. Qasem that require disclosure under Item 404(a) of Regulation S-K.
KBR Chair, President and CEO Stuart Bradie stated that Mr. Qasem’s broad executive background and forward-looking perspective will be valuable additions to the board as the company advances differentiated technology solutions. The appointment is noted as strengthening KBR’s governance and leadership as it progresses toward the planned separation of its Mission Technology Solutions business in January 2027.
