Johnson & Johnson (JNJ) has announced that its RYBREVANT combination therapy has demonstrated an overall survival of 34.3 months in patients with EGFR exon 20 insertion-positive non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC).
The data was presented during the 2024 American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Annual Meeting. The study evaluated the combination of RYBREVANT (amivantamab) in conjunction with chemotherapy.
According to the results, the combination therapy led to a median overall survival of 34.3 months. This figure represents a significant increase compared to historical data for this specific patient population, which typically faces a median overall survival of approximately 15.5 months.
The analysis included patients who had previously received platinum-based chemotherapy. The data indicates that the RYBREVANT combination may offer a survival benefit in this specific subgroup of lung cancer patients.
