India has lifted a ban on a unit of JPMorgan Chase & Co. (NYSE: JPM) that was imposed following an investigation into index manipulation charges. The regulatory action comes after the unit, JPMorgan India, was found to have manipulated the MSCI India Index.

The ban had restricted the unit's ability to conduct certain business activities in the country. The lifting of the ban indicates that the regulatory authorities have concluded their review of the matter regarding the index manipulation allegations.

Shares of JPMorgan Chase & Co. were trading at $350.59, down 0.83% at the time of the report.
