Hilton Worldwide Holdings Inc. has notified the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) of its intention to voluntarily withdraw the principal listing of its common stock from the NYSE and transfer it to the Nasdaq Global Select Market. The company stated that the listing and trading of its common stock on the NYSE will end at market close on November 4, 2026, and trading will begin on Nasdaq at market open on November 5, 2026.
The common stock has been approved for listing on Nasdaq and will continue to trade under the existing ticker symbol "HLT." Hilton noted that no action is required by shareholders in connection with the transfer.
In a press release accompanying the filing, Hilton highlighted its evolution as a capital-efficient hospitality leader. According to the filing, since returning to the public markets in 2013, Hilton has transformed from a portfolio of 10 brands and approximately 4,100 hotels in 90 countries into a global hospitality leader with 28 brands and more than 9,400 properties across 144 countries and territories. The company also noted that it has expanded its luxury and lifestyle portfolio from approximately 50 to 1,200 hotels.
