Huntington Ingalls Industries, Inc. reported record financial results for the third quarter of fiscal 2026, filing an 8-K with the SEC on October 29, 2026. The company announced record quarterly revenues of $3.5 billion, representing a 10.8% increase compared to the same period in the prior year.

Net earnings for the quarter were $217 million, or $5.48 per diluted share, compared to $145 million, or $3.68 per share, in the third quarter of 2025. The company reported operating income of $246 million and a segment operating margin of 7.4% for the quarter.

On the contract front, HII disclosed new contract awards totaling $32.4 billion during the third quarter. Year-to-date contract awards reached $43.1 billion. The company stated that these awards have secured approximately 90% of its expected shipbuilding revenue through 2030.

In a significant update to its financial outlook, HII raised its fiscal 2026 shipbuilding revenue guidance to a range of $10.5 billion to $10.7 billion. The company reaffirmed its fiscal 2026 shipbuilding operating margin guidance of 6.0% to 6.5% and maintained its free cash flow outlook of $500 million to $600 million for the year.

The company’s three segments reported varied performance. Newport News Shipbuilding revenues increased 18.1% to $1.91 billion, driven by higher volumes in submarines and aircraft carriers. Ingalls Shipbuilding revenues rose 5.8% to $876 million, primarily due to higher volumes in amphibious assault ships. Mission Technologies revenues were relatively flat at $792 million, with growth attributed to higher volumes in Unmanned Systems.
