Grown Rogue International Inc. has announced the completion of a second option to acquire an additional 26% ownership interest in its New Jersey subsidiary, ABCO Garden State, LLC. This transaction increases the company's total ownership stake in ABCO to 70%.

The acquisition was contingent upon approval from the New Jersey Cannabis Regulatory Commission (CRC), which was received on September 16, 2026. The purchase price for the additional interest was approximately US$743,000, which had been advanced to ABCO in 2023.

In connection with the option exercise, Grown Rogue has taken majority control of ABCO's board of directors. The company also provided an update regarding its expansion plans in New Jersey. Management stated that construction of Phase II is expected to be substantially complete by the end of 2026. This expansion is projected to bring the total New Jersey flowering canopy to approximately 16,000 square feet, with the additional capacity ramping into 2027.

Obie Strickler, President and Chief Executive Officer of Grown Rogue, commented on the milestone, noting that the company has worked within the regulatory framework from the beginning and remains focused on completing the expansion and growing the business.
