Greenland Energy Company (Nasdaq: GLND) has announced the successful completion of its 2026 environmental baseline field program at the Jameson Land Project in East Greenland. The filing confirms that the work, which supports the ongoing Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) and permitting process, has been finalized.
The field program was conducted in accordance with approvals issued by Greenland’s Ministry of Business and Mineral Resources on August 19, 2026. The ministry granted field activity approvals to White Flame Energy A/S, the license holder, for operations under OEEL 2015/13 and OEEL 2015/14 through September 30, 2026. The approved scope of work included the collection of soil and freshwater samples, vegetation and habitat studies, and the recording of wildlife and bird activity across the project area. The surveys focused specifically on proposed well locations and the coastal landing site.
Operations were conducted daily from Nerlerit Inaat (Constable Point) by experienced environmental consultants, supported by Greenland-focused geoscientists and local hunters employed as wildlife safety guards. The company stated that the new data builds upon extensive environmental work already completed at Jameson Land.
Executive Chairman Larry G. Swets, Jr., commented on the progress, stating that the work represents exactly what the regulatory process requires: careful, government-approved environmental science conducted with local people prior to any drilling decision.
