Grayscale XRP Trust ETF has filed an 8-K report detailing two significant operational changes. The Trust amended its Participant Agreements with Macquarie Capital (USA) Inc. and Virtu Americas LLC, allowing these entities to conduct creations and redemptions of Shares in-kind, in addition to the existing cash-based process.
The filing also disclosed a new custody arrangement. On September 29, 2026, the Trust entered into a Sixth Amendment to its Master Custody Service Agreement with Anchorage Digital Bank N.A. This move adds Anchorage Digital as a custodian for a portion of the Trust’s XRP holdings. The Trust’s primary custodian remains Coinbase Custody Trust Company, LLC, and the addition of Anchorage Digital is intended to support the Trust’s growing size.
According to the filing, the Sponsor will determine, in its sole discretion, the specific amounts of XRP held at either custodian. The Sponsor has not yet determined the total amount of XRP to be moved to Anchorage Digital. The filing notes that the hardware security module used to safeguard private keys at Anchorage Digital is located in the United States.
Regarding insurance, the Anchorage Digital Custody Agreement requires the Additional Custodian to maintain commercial crime insurance or a fidelity bond with limits of not less than $100 million in the aggregate. The filing cautions that shareholders cannot be assured that the Additional Custodian will maintain adequate insurance or that such coverage will cover losses.
The filing also includes an exhibit detailing the creation and redemption procedures. As of September 16, 2025, a Basket of 10,000 Shares requires 10,704.6148 XRP. The Trust currently only allows Authorized Participants to submit Cash Orders; in-kind transactions are subject to future regulatory approval.
