GeoVax Labs, Inc. has announced that it has successfully requested a hearing before the Nasdaq Hearings Panel to appeal a delisting determination received on August 27, 2026. The company cited a failure to meet the minimum bid price requirement under Nasdaq Listing Rule 5550(a)(2) as the reason for the determination.

The hearing has been scheduled for October 13, 2026. GeoVax stated that its request has stayed any suspension or delisting action pending the hearing and the expiration of any extension period granted by the Panel. Consequently, the company’s common stock is expected to continue trading on The Nasdaq Capital Market under the symbol “GOVX” at least through this period.

During the hearing, GeoVax intends to present a plan to regain and maintain compliance with the applicable Nasdaq listing standards. The company emphasized that the listing process does not alter its strategic priorities. CEO David Dodd noted that the company remains committed to advancing its GEO-MVA program toward a pivotal Phase 3 clinical trial, pursuing manufacturing capabilities, and engaging potential strategic partners.

In oncology, GeoVax is developing Gedeptin, a gene-directed enzyme prodrug therapy designed to enhance immune checkpoint inhibitor activity. The company reported that Gedeptin has completed a multicenter Phase 1/2 clinical trial in advanced head and neck cancer and is being advanced into combination strategies.
