General Electric Company, operating as GE Aerospace, has announced the appointment of Wesley Bush as the company's independent Lead Director, effective September 21, 2026. Mr. Bush succeeds Tom Horton, who has served as the independent Lead Director since 2018. Mr. Horton will remain a member of the GE Aerospace Board of Directors.
GE Aerospace Chairman and CEO H. Lawrence Culp, Jr. stated that Mr. Horton’s leadership and counsel have been instrumental in guiding the company through a period of change, including the launch of GE Aerospace as an independent entity. Mr. Culp expressed gratitude for Mr. Horton’s service and noted that the company will continue to benefit from his experience.
Mr. Bush has been an independent director on the GE Aerospace Board since 2025. He previously served as Chairman and CEO of Northrop Grumman Corporation. According to the filing, Mr. Bush also serves on the boards of Dow Inc. and General Motors Company.
Mr. Horton has been an independent director on the GE Aerospace Board since 2018. He currently serves as a Senior Advisor at Global Infrastructure Partners and sits on the boards of Chevron Corporation and Walmart Inc.
