Flutter Entertainment plc has announced the suspension of its sports betting and iGaming operations in Brazil following a provisional executive order issued by the Brazilian Government on September 25, 2026. The company disclosed this development in a press release dated September 28, 2026, which is included as Exhibit 99.1 to its current Form 8-K filing.

Flutter stated that it is complying with the provisional executive measures by ceasing all online sports betting and iGaming activities in the country. The company expressed disappointment with the development and indicated that it is reviewing all available options, including the potential to appeal the decision. Flutter also noted that it continues to engage constructively with Brazilian authorities to advocate for sensible and effective regulation that protects customers from the risks of an unregulated market.

The executive order is subject to Congressional approval or amendment and is expected to remain in effect for 120 days. Should Congress reject the measure, Flutter anticipates that its online sports betting and iGaming activity would recommence.

The company provided an estimate of the financial impact should operations remain suspended for the remainder of 2026. Flutter stated that this scenario would result in a reduction to 2026 revenue of approximately $70 million and a reduction in adjusted EBITDA of approximately $20 million. At the time of the filing, Flutter was assessing the associated non-cash accounting implications of the announced measures.

Flutter Entertainment plc is the world’s leading online sports betting and iGaming operator, with a market-leading position in the United States and globally. The company operates a diverse portfolio of brands, including FanDuel, Sky Betting & Gaming, Sportsbet, PokerStars, and Paddy Power.
