The Federal Home Loan Bank of New York (FHLBNY) announced the election of two directors to represent New Jersey members on its Board of Directors. The announcement was made on September 18, 2026, in a filing with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.

According to the filing, Mr. Anthony Labozzetta and Mr. Ira Robbins were the only two nominees to accept their nominations for two open Member Director seats representing New Jersey. Under Federal Housing Finance Agency regulations, because the number of nominees equaled the number of open seats, the Bank deemed them elected without a vote.

The terms for the newly elected directors commence on January 1, 2027. Mr. Robbins, who is currently serving on the Board, will serve a four-year term ending on December 31, 2030. Mr. Labozzetta will serve a one-year term ending on December 31, 2027. The Bank noted that the one-year term for Mr. Labozzetta does not count toward the statutory limitation prohibiting directors from serving more than three consecutive four-year terms.

Mr. Robbins currently serves as Chair of the Board’s Risk Committee and is a member of the Compensation and Human Resources, Strategy and Business, and Executive Committees. The Board has not yet determined the 2027 committee assignments for Mr. Robbins, Mr. Labozzetta, or any other director.

Mr. Labozzetta is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Provident Bank in Iselin, New Jersey. He has led Provident through a merger with Lakeland Bancorp in May 2024, which established the institution with over $25 billion in assets. Mr. Robbins is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Valley National Bank in Morristown, New Jersey.

In addition to the New Jersey seats, the Bank reminded members that ballots for two open Districtwide Independent Director seats will be distributed in October 2026. These seats have four-year terms commencing on January 1, 2027.
