The Federal Home Loan Bank of Indianapolis (FHLBank Indy) announced its third quarter 2026 dividends and financial results on October 27, 2026. The Bank’s Board of Directors declared dividends on Class B-2 activity-based capital stock and Class B-1 non-activity-based stock at annualized rates of 9.25% and 4.00%, respectively. These dividends will be paid in cash on October 28, 2026.

For the three months ended September 30, 2026, the Bank reported net income of $78 million. This figure represents a net decrease of $9 million compared to the same period in the prior year. The decline was driven by a $3 million decrease in net interest income and a $6 million decrease in other income. Net interest income decreased primarily due to lower average market interest rates, partially offset by higher average balances of interest-earning assets. Other income decreased due to declines in the fair values of investments.

Other expenses increased by $1 million, largely attributed to higher voluntary contributions to housing and community investment programs. For the nine months ended September 30, 2026, total net income was $237 million, a decrease of $14 million from the prior year. During this period, required Affordable Housing Program (AHP) assessments totaled $27 million, which will be available to members in 2027. Additionally, the Bank voluntarily contributed $24 million to affordable housing and community investment programs, reflecting a commitment to allocate 7.5% of prior year's net earnings to these initiatives in 2026.

As of September 30, 2026, total assets stood at $86.1 billion, a net decrease of $186 million from December 31, 2025. The Bank’s regulatory capital-to-assets ratio was 5.67%, exceeding all applicable regulatory capital requirements.
