FactSet Research Systems Inc. announced on September 23, 2026, that it has appointed Marcel Prins as a director of the company. The appointment was disclosed in a Current Report on Form 8-K filed with the SEC on September 23, 2026, and announced via a press release dated September 25, 2026.
According to the company’s press release, Mr. Prins brings over 25 years of experience in operations, technology, and asset management. From 2022 to 2026, he served as Chief Operating Officer and a director of Robeco, a global asset manager based in the Netherlands. During his tenure at Robeco, he was responsible for driving innovation and accelerating the firm’s digital transformation, including defining and executing a multi-year technology strategy, introducing a modern data platform, and strengthening data governance.
Prior to his role at Robeco, Mr. Prins spent more than a decade at APG N.V. He initially served as Chief Operating Officer and director of APG Asset Management and later held the position of Chief Digital Officer of the APG Group. His earlier career included roles at ABN AMRO Group N.V., Fortis Bank, and DCE International.
In addition to his new position at FactSet, Mr. Prins currently serves on the boards of ABN Amro Clearing Bank and Mondu Financial Services. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from The Hague University of Applied Sciences.
FactSet stated that there are no arrangements or understandings between Mr. Prins and any other persons regarding his selection as a director. As a non-employee director, he will participate in the company’s existing director compensation program, the terms of which are detailed in the company’s Proxy Statement filed with the SEC on October 27, 2025.
