Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (EM&T) announced on October 5, 2026, that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for its facility in Pohang, South Korea, on Thursday, December 17, 2026. The event is intended to publicly showcase the company’s largest high-performance rare earth magnet facility currently in production outside of China. The showcase will include live magnet making demonstrations, guided tours of active production lines, and an executive operational briefing.

The facility, located at 46, Blue Seoro 2-gil, Donghae-myeon, Nam-gu, Pohang-si, Gyeongsangbuk-do, Republic of Korea, anchors the company’s phased expansion of annual rare earth magnet production capacity. The company stated that the facility is positioned to support an expansion of annual production to more than 10,000 metric tons.

EM&T highlighted that the event occurs ahead of the January 1, 2027, effective date of DFARS 252.225-7052, which restricts Chinese-origin rare earth magnets in qualifying U.S. defense systems. The company also noted that the showcase follows the August 13, 2026, White House proclamation imposing a 100 percent tariff on the most sensitive foreign unmanned aircraft and certain parts.

The program for the December 17 event will feature formal addresses by visiting dignitaries, bilateral discussions to explore strategic offtake and trade opportunities, and an executive networking reception. A live webcast of the executive operational briefing will be available at investors.evolution-metals.com.
