Evolution Metals & Technologies Corp. (EM&T) announced on October 15, 2026, that it has begun taking delivery of additional magnet production equipment at its facility in Pohang, Republic of Korea. The company reported that 13 out of 57 containers of equipment from ULVAC have arrived, with the remaining containers scheduled for delivery before the end of October 2026.
The company stated that once the equipment is installed and commissioned, the thirteen additional ULVAC machines are expected to increase the company’s annual rare earth magnet production capacity from 1,000 metric tons to approximately 10,000 metric tons. This expansion includes an expected capacity of 6,000 metric tons for high-performance sintered magnets.
EM&T reaffirmed its fiscal 2027 revenue guidance of $400 million to $460 million. The company noted that the expansion positions it to meet the requirements of Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) 252.225-7052, which is set to take effect on January 1, 2027. This regulation prohibits the use of rare earth magnets containing materials produced in China, Russia, North Korea, or Iran in U.S. defense systems.
EM&T also announced that it will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the expanded facility on Thursday, December 17, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. (KST) in Pohang. The event will include live magnet making demonstrations, guided tours, and an executive briefing for government dignitaries, investors, and partners.
