The Elmet Group Co. (NASDAQ: ELMT) announced on September 30, 2026, that its subsidiary, Elmet Technologies, has been awarded a contract valued at approximately $36 million by the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The agreement requires Elmet Technologies to supply high-performance molybdenum and tungsten alloys and precision wire to the U.S. National Defense Stockpile.
The materials specified in the contract include titanium-zirconium-molybdenum (TZM) alloy billets, bar stock, and ingots, as well as specialized molybdenum and tungsten wire. These products are intended for use in the production of jet engine components and other demanding aerospace applications.
Elmet Technologies noted that the award is separate from a previous contract announced on September 14, 2026. That earlier agreement was an indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a ceiling value of $2 billion, which covered the supply of tungsten concentrates and sodium tungstate to the National Defense Stockpile.
According to the company, the new $36 million award further supports its role as a domestic supplier of critical materials to aerospace and defense markets. Elmet Technologies is a wholly owned subsidiary of The Elmet Group and operates as the only U.S.-owned and operated, vertically integrated tungsten and molybdenum manufacturer.
